The apartment
The Lion Apartments are three homes within a palazzo on a quiet pedestrian street leading from Via Condotti, a few minutes from Piazza di Spagna and the Spanish Steps. From the front door you can walk to the Pantheon, the Colosseum, the Vatican or across the river to Trastevere, and come back to a calm, comfortable home at the end of the day.
Each apartment has been restored and individually styled, keeping the character of the building while adding well-equipped kitchens with marble tops and decorative tiles and good modern bathrooms. Antique furniture and paintings come from the owner's family homes in Puglia and Sardinia. Rooms are spacious and light, looking onto the inner courtyard, the quiet street below or the ochre facade of Palazzo Torlonia, with comfortable sofas, antique dining tables, Persian rugs, books and soft lighting.
Lion 1, on the fourth floor, sleeps six. Lion 2 and Lion 3 are on the second floor, sleep five and eight, and can be connected; all three can be taken together by a larger group, for a family Christmas or a week with friends. Housekeeping is twice a week, and a cook or guides can be arranged. The owner has thought of every detail, from good linen to coffee machines.
